Newly renovated modern hotel. Dazing views of marina, local church. Stayed in room 622 and you get great sunset views. The breakfast buffet is ample. Lots of choices: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage as well as a variety of cold meats, salmon and pastries. The fruits are fresh and you get lychees which I love. I used the pool daily after a day out. Whilst only about 10/12m long, it’s refreshing. You also get to use the outdoor pool for free just opposite the hotel in the marina. I didn’t use the gym but it had a few running machines and free waits. The staff throughout the hotel are super friendly. Rooms also gets turn every evening.

This hotel is outstanding! From the location, to the breakfast, to the rooms, to the staff, everything about our stay was wonderful! The location is directly at the waterfront - try to get a room facing the water - it is so clear that you can actually see below the surface even from 4 stories high. Also, if you can brave the cold water, the swimming area is located just across from the hotel. Many restaurants are nearby - (tip for eating out in Ponta Delgada: go at opening or make a reservation, all restaurants seem to fill up quickly at peak dinner time). The breakfast was delicious with so many food choices and different spots to sit either inside or outside on the terrace. The rooms were a good size, very comfortable bed/pillows with robes and slippers to use. Every corner of this hotel is so well kept and clean. The staff were all very helpful and courteous and assisted in a timely manner with any requests. If you are visiting Ponta Delgada, you must stay here - it is a phenomenal hotel!

Very grand hotel. Do upgrade to an ocean view room as the views are breathtaking, even when it's cloudy. The hotel staff are friendly and service top notch. Do make time to have a drink and bite to eat in the bar after 10pm for music. I wish there were a few more vegetarian options but what they had was delicious.

The hotel is very beautiful and the staff really friendly and helpful. They shared some great insider tips about food places and other places to visit with us. The rooms are big, modern and clean. Only the showers are very slippery. The only thing i was missing was something chocolatey at the breakfast buffet. It still was very tasty.

A comfortable hotel, nicely decorated rooms, friendly reception staff. All in all a great stay in this great hotel. If I can give one tip, especially when I compare it to many other 5* hotels I’ve stayed in: the staff at breakfast needs to smile more, be more attentive. 3 out of the 4 times I went for breakfast staff would keep doing what they were doing (like talking or setting up a table and I would get my coffee by the time I was already finished with my breakfast. In my opinion customers sit and staff comes to offer coffee, that’s what I’m used to from other hotels. And the breakfast although nice was quite monotonous, it could use a bit of diversity, after day 3 I was done with the same cheese, same mushrooms and beans.

Great door service and the front desk staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was very comfortable and the cleaning staff did a great job. I really liked that there were usb plugins on each side of the bed and a full length mirror in the room. Okay breakfast buffet. Drinks at the bar were expensive considering how much they cost in town.
